Learner Fund 3 & 4
The DCYA have announced the introduction of ECCE minimum qualification requirements which will come into effect on 31st December 2016.
From this date all practitioners working with children in an early years service will require a major award at Level 5 or equivalent.
To support practitioners to meet these requirements, the DYCA has been providing funding under the Learner Fund since 2014.
This fund offers subsidised ECCE training to eligible practitioners.
In order to ensure that all practitioners are prepared for the introduction of the minimum qualification requirements, the DCYA have decided to re-open Learner Fund Round 3 for applications. This round offers existing Early Years practitioners a subsidy towards the cost of Early Years courses at Level 5.
