Giant Steps Outdoor Montessori is looking for a kind, enthusiastic, and reliable early years educator to join our team as Lead Educator in our morning class.

Role  

Help create and maintain a positive, engaging environment where every child feels welcome, safe and happy.

Support children to access and participate fully in the daily life of the setting both outdoors and indoors.

Observe, plan and implement fun and engaging activities based on the children’s interests and developmental stage.

Support the children’s holistic development and wellbeing in the outdoor and indoor environments.

Build positive working relationships with the children, colleagues, and parents/guardians.

Keep accurate records including observations, planning and care documents.

Follow safeguarding, safety and early years regulations at all times.

 

Requirements

Minimum Level 6 qualification in Early Years Education and Care or equivalent

2 years’ experience working in an ECCE setting

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Fluent in written and spoken English

Knowledge of Aistear and Siolta

We are an outdoor service so you must enjoy working outside

Garda vetting and references

 

Desirable

Qualification in Montessori education

Level 7 qualification or above in Early Years Education and Care

 

Working times

Monday to Friday 9am to 12:30/1pm, 18hrs/week

ECCE sessional only.

Immediate start pending Garda vetting.

 

Location

We are a small rural setting based in Kilmanagh, Co Kilkenny, R95A2Y0.

The setting includes a bright indoor classroom and a large outdoor environment.
