About us: Kilkenny Community Early Years Project is a cross community, needs based Early Years service catering for children aged 2 to 6 years. KCEYP works to support children and families to reach their full potential in all areas of development, through the implementation of a play based emergent curriculum, while using a partnership approach in assisting, liaising and mediating with other professionals who are supporting the families.
The Position: Early Years Educator to cover a period of sick leave and maternity leave (minimum 7 month contract with possibility of extension). Hours somewhat negotiable for the right candidate.
Qualifications: Applicants require a minimum QQI Level 5 or 6, however Level 7 or 8 would be desirable.
Experience working in an Early Years setting would be desirable.
Rate of Pay: €14.94- €15.97 dependent on level of Education, as approved by the board of Management. 35% of hours paid at a higher rate of pay.
The successful applicant will have good working knowledge of Aistear and Siolta, the ability to work as part of a team and the passion for working with children in the early years.
