Wobbler Room Early Years Educator – Part-Time

Location: Muckalee
Hours: 2 full days per week (Thursday & Friday)
Schedule: Flexible start and finish times

About the Role

We are looking for a warm, caring and enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join our Wobbler Room, caring for children aged 1–2 years.

You will play an important role in providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can develop, learn and build confidence through play and positive relationships.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide a warm, responsive and nurturing approach to children aged 1–2 years.
  • Support children’s emotional, social, physical and cognitive development.
  • Plan and provide age-appropriate activities and play experiences.
  • Assist with daily routines including meals, sleep, nappy changing and personal care.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents/guardians and colleagues.
  • Work as part of a supportive team and follow the creche’s policies and procedures.
  • Observe and support each child’s individual needs, interests and development.
  • Maintain appropriate records and contribute to the planning and delivery of the room programme.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Learning and Care
  • A genuine interest in working with young children and supporting their development.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A caring, patient and professional approach.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow the daily routines and policies of the setting.
  • Garda Vetting and relevant employment checks will be required.
  • Knowledge of Aistear and Síolta is desirable.
  • Previous experience working with babies/toddlers is an advantage.
