Muckalee Community Childcare are recruiting a Deputy Manager!

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our Early Years team. This is a hands-on role based within a room environment, working directly with children while supporting the overall management of the crèche. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality care, compliance with regulations, and a positive environment for both children and staff.

 

Key Responsibilities

– Support the Crèche Manager in the day-to-day running of the service.

– Work directly within a room, providing high-quality care and education to children.

– Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including Tusla standards and Aistear frameworks.

– Act as a role model for best practice.

– Supervise, support, and mentor room staff.

– Build strong relationships with families.

– Step in as Manager in their absence when required.

 

Requirements

– Minimum Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education (Level 7/8 desirable)

– Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role within an Early Years setting is desirable

– Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

– A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development

– Garda Vetting required
