Location: Muckalee Community Creche
Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:30pm – 6:00pm
Position Type: Part-time term time (additional hours may be available non term time)

About the Role

We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and responsible Afterschool Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for school-aged children, supporting their social and emotional development through play, activities, and positive interaction.

Key Responsibilities

– Supervise and engage children in a variety of afterschool activities, both indoors and outdoors.

– Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and respect among all children.

– Prepare and implement age-appropriate games, arts, crafts, and group projects.

– Maintain children’s safety and well-being at all times.

– Maintain good communication with parents, staff, and management.

– Assist with snack distribution and tidy-up duties.

Requirements

– Experience working with children in a group setting.

– QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care & Education advantageous but not necessary

– A kind, patient, and enthusiastic approach.

– Ability to work well as part of a team.

– Garda Vetting will be required before commencement.
