An Early Years Leader & a Support Worker are required for The Garden- Outdoor Explorers Preschool, Ruthstown, Ballyfoyle, Co. Kilkenny

Qualifications:
Minimum level 7 QQI in Early Childhood Care & Education necessary for Leader position; & Level 5 QQI for Support Worker position.
Working experience & comprehensive knowledge of High/Scope curriculum and/or High/Scope qualification desirable.
Forest School Leader qualification or Outdoor Education experience desirable.

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years in an ECCE setting in similar role.
Applicants must have a positive disposition towards being outdoors & working with children 2.8mths+ outdoors in ALL weather.
Knowledge and practical experience of Aistear & Siolta Frameworks.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills – fluency in both spoken & written English.
Experience of working with children with additional needs & AIM an advantage.
Current First Aid & manual handling an advantage.
Must be willing to partake in ongoing mentoring and CPD.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver a high-quality High/Scope curriculum to a key group of children in our outdoor setting.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all the children in your care & setting.
Work in co-operation with the Manager, Deputy Manager and our exemplary team members & early years leaders, as well as on your own initiative.
Work with the team to maintain the preschool environment.
To be familiar with & adhere to all Early Years Regulations.

Hours & Salary:
15 hrs contact & up to 5 hrs onsite paid noncontact per week, Monday through Friday.
38 week School Term positions.
Salary depends on experience.
