Childminding Reopening Grant 2020
The Department of Children and Youth Affairs (DCYA) announced the Childminding Reopening Grant in June 2020, in response to the Covid 19 pandemic.
The purpose of the Childminding Re-opening Grant was to support childminders who had to close as a direct result of the government restrictions imposed due to COVID-19.
An individual once-off Childminding grant of €1000 per Childminder was made available to assist with the additional costs of re-opening.
40 childminders from across Kilkenny, Carlow, Tipperary, Wexford, Waterford and Laois availed of this grant to support the reopening of their service.
