Kilkenny One Parent Community
Kilkenny One Parent Community (KOPC) is a community who are parenting alone, sharing parenting or parenting following bereavement, with a vision that Kilkenny is a place where the unique experiences of One-Parent families are recognised, respected and responded to.
The KOPC aims to amplify the voices and increase the visibility of one parent families in a positive and empowering way throughout Kilkenny. They aim to connect, support and celebrate each other on your parenting journey.

Tusla Parenting 24/7
Parenting 24/7 is an online resource available to parents providing an evidence based messages and supports to parents with children from birth up to and including the teenage years. HSE – MyChild.ie
Mychild.ie is a brand new website from the HSE. It aims to be your complete guide to pregnancy, baby and toddler health, with trusted information from experts and links to health services and support.
Find out where you can access your local health centre and public health nurse, information around maternity care and services, breastfeeding support, vaccinations, advice on weaning to solids and much more. The website also holds information about common childhood illnesses and how to promote healthy eating, activity and development for your growing child.
Kilkenny County Libraries
Kilkenny County Libraries are membership based and free to join. They operate 8 locations in county Kilkenny and offer lots of family friendly activities and events, such as toddler story times, art and craft sessions, events and book clubs, IT access and community spaces in addition to book and resource lending for adults and children alike. Also of interest may be the annual ‘Summer Stars’ reading scheme which runs each year during Summer holidays.
Kilkenny County Council operate 20 Playgrounds around the county and 7 Public Parks. More information about them can be found here.
