Kilkenny CCC are now taking bookings for the next Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) Training Programme for Early Learning and Care and School Age professionals scheduled to run from October.

This National Training Programme provides professionals with an opportunity to explore the concepts of Diversity and Equality within the preschool and school age context and will support participants in the development of an inclusive early years environment for all children. Diversity, Equality and Inclusion are hugely important elements of ELC and SAC provision and are particularly relevant in light of service provision for children who have been displaced due to the war in Ukraine.

Attendance at the DEI programme can be used towards completion of your service’s Core Funding Quality Action Plan.

Participants who complete the course will receive a free DEI resource pack which includes a number of resources to help support the implementation of learning from the programme in the ELC/SAC room.

This programme will take place in the Kilkenny Education Centre, Callan Road and will run over 4 sessions on the following dates:

• Wednesday 18^th October – 6.30pm to 9.30pm
• Tuesday 24^th October – 6.30pm to 9.30pm
• Tuesday 7^th November – 6.30pm to 9.30pm
• Tuesday 14^th November – 6.30pm to 9.30pm

This training is FREE and participants will receive a certificate of attendance on completion.
