Update to Children First & Child Protection Requirements
Have you heard about the new Children First Act which came into effect on 11th December 2017?
The act will mean that childcare providers and persons working in childcare settings are mandated persons under the act, and services will now need to publish a child safeguarding statement. A recommended E-Learning Programme is available on the Tusla Website to help you further understand your obligations under the Children First Act. The changes are outlined in the new Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children.
